Attention budding t-shirt designers!!!!
Semi-Competitive is in the house.
This has gotta be the pinnacle of t-shirt design competitions. Semi-competitive is a comp aligned with a world reknowned event known as Semi-permanent, one of the world’s largest annual get-togethers aimed at creative folk with tantalisingly twisted talents. This creative-design-focussed event tours the globe each year thanks to the concentrated efforts of Design Is Kinky , and a bunch of other highly capable design co’s.
The t-shirt design competition for Semi-Permanent this year is a pretty bloody huge ordeal.
In fact it’s MASSIVE. Gigornormousos. Very large. Elephantesque. I’m-talking-US$25-with-three-zeros-on-the-end-worth-of-prizes-large.
These are the Captain Insano prizes for the Grand Champion….
…but wait…just in case you hate free airfares, accommodation and spending money, there’s a couple more small things that might keep you mildly amused for good 5 minutes or so, such as….

COMPETITION BRIEF:
Design a tshirt graphic. The design can be of any theme and style, however keep in mind that; the tshirt graphic needs to be creative and intelligent; should take into account that it will be be worn and sold in several different countries; must be able to be printed using traditional screen printing methods and, as the offficial Semi-Permanent 2006 tshirt, should be a good ambassador for the event.
Semi-Permanent INTEGRATION:
The tshirt will become the official 2006 Semi-Permanent tshirt. The winning tshirt will be worn and sold at all of the 2006 Semi-Permanent events. Several entries may also be printed in the Semi-Permanent 2006 book.
SPECIFICATIONS:
Number: 1 or more
Size: To allow printing on tshirt
Colours: Maximum 3 colour print
File: Vector EPS or Illustrator file
Submitting: Please place your design on a tshirt template (the shape of a tshirt to show us your preferred positioning), save it as a low resolution (72dpi) JPG and send it to sc@semipermanent.com. We will contact you for the EPS file if/when needed.

hey im nina and im trying 2 become a fashion designer.. most of my designs have been on paper and i’ve only fully made one shirt..umm any suggsetions on how you could help me become more organised and do you know anyone that could help sponsor me? im 15 years old by the way and am looking for competitions and how to get started, whether its through sending my designs to other designers, i just need to know who please…please reply!
