And if the special contest at Design by Humans are any indications, the "best" design doesn't always go home with the top prize. I should make a correction, the winnings are not tax free. I am still a featherweight on what I would like to call "The Shirt Circuit" (clever huh) but I have done my fair share of rounds from A-Zed. I will say it's a designer be ware situation, some people are looking for free work, some really care about the artist, and want to promote better ness through tee shirts. I would be hard pressed to find a Client that is willing to pony up $2000 on his/her own for the exact same design, so it's worth a shot.
