A few of you may be aware that a little while ago now, I relocated to Dubai. It’s a pretty cool place, but the tshirt scene is a little bit behind the times….not only in what you can get from the malls here, but also, in what you can get away with wearing in the malls here!
You might be scratching your head, trying to work out where this is going. You’ll be scratching your head even harder when you see where this ends up !
At the start of July, a chap from Lebanon visiting Dubai, wore a tee featuring the world’s favorite soccer mum Victoria Beckham. Big deal huh.
The tee featured pretty cool design featuring Posh, and only Posh if you get my drift, obscuring her private parts with a bit of text saying “Protect the skin you’re in”. It was a tee designed by internationally acclaimed designer Marc Jacobs, as part of a melanoma prevention charity campaign.

The poor Lebanese dude was apprehended by police after being approach by a local at a bakery. He actually even went back and changed his clothes, it was only after he returned that the police nabbed him.
The sentence: a full month in jail, for wearing a piece of clothing deemed to be offensive.
Come visit me sometime in your favourite tee, I dare you!

Thank You! I would rather not travel to Dubai any time …

Women can’t wear ‘revealing’ clothes either

I don’t think it is such a big deal to conform. Honestly, I am quite sick of women showing off their bodies as if they were advertising it. What you wear to the beach isn’t what you wear to the mall. Even elsewhere and I’m not referring only to Dubai. Why would a woman want to bare so much and then gets upset if men glare at her with disrespect. If I can go visit such an amazing city like Dubai but would require to adjust a little it is so worth it.
