Ok, Festival Shirts. I’ll admit it. You had me as soon as you uttered the slogan.
‘Dressing people for fun‘
How cool is that! It makes Nike’s Just Do It sound like an flailing Marketing 101 students’ response to a 1-mark essay question.
And then I saw your novel t-shirt concept, and I was forever in love.
Maybe it has something to do with my undying longing for the upcoming summer music festival season. Maybe I am just feeling a little lonely right now. One this is for sure though, Festival Shirts has nailed a super-cool tiche (yes that’s right folks, you heard it first here, a “t-shirt niche” is now known as a “tiche”).
Slogan t-shirts made specifically for music festival goers.

.
FestivalShirts create t-shirts specifically designed for festival wear, and is run by a small team of three guys based in Cork, Ireland – John and Frank Prendergast and Joseph Smyth.
.
I managed to track down the Irish lads, who put down their plastic cups of warm beer, removed their fluorescent sunglasses and stopped squealing at the stage for just long enough to let us know about the conception of FestivalShirts….
.
“The idea is to have t-shirts fitting in with the occasion and there is an incredible range of music acts and festivals in Ireland this summer to provide enough occasions to wear them…..

Frank Prendergast who draws each design…
“I was on the train one day and my mind started wandering back to the festival and I just suddenly came up with the idea of doing t-shirts for festivals… the first one I thought of, right there, was ‘If this is your t-shirt I slept in your tent.’ I thought it was funny, and captured the good humoured mayhem of a weekend festival.”
….the t-shirts are designed to be vibrant and happy looking, with each brightly coloured t-shirt featuring a hand drawn yellow splash with a funny slogan.
“We’ve tried to keep the cost of the shirts as low as possible, they’re available from €19.90 plus postage with the organic range costing a little more,” Frank explained, “they take about a week to process and deliver, so be sure and order in time for the festivals.”

There is a cracker of a range available now from www.festivalshirts.net, with new designs added frequently.
If you’re about to head to a festival and want to stand out from the crowd, grab yourself some appropriate attire. Head to Festival Shirts and get dressed for fun!
