DTG Printing
DTG or Direct To Garment printing is the process of printing waterbased fabric ink directly on to the garment using CMYK colours. The look of the print is very similar to screen printing but has a softer feel. Unlike screen printing the colours are not applied indvidually they are printed at the same time and are mixed to produce any colour or gradient. The machine can also print white ink which can be used as white or printed under other colours to make them more vibrant.
This is the most cost effective process for short runs as there is no setup charge or colour limit. But it still produces large vibrant prints similar to screen printing.
With Direct To Garment it is also possible to have different print locations on garments such as printing off the bottom of a t-shirt , on the side or even across the neck. We charge a small fee per garment for uncoventional locations.
To use Direct To Garment the fabric must be cotton based.
