Plane Clothing has Tees That are Nothing Plain

Plane Clothing is an independent fashion and art label run from a small studio in East London by husband and wife team Gerry and Charlotta Buxton. Gerry created the brand back in 2005 when he started selling t-shirts on the markets in London. All the prints are based on Gerry’s original photographs and illustrations. A few classic designs from the early days are still with them. Their most recent series of prints is the London collection, a series focusing on Londoners’ buildings. They are currently working on a series of New York illustrations, focusing on the people and places in the Big Apple. All our clothes are hand-printed using environmentally friendly ink in London. The clothes themselves are fairly traded and keeping everything that way is important to them. Take a look:

This is the BT Tower t-shirt in black. Standing proud and looking out over central London the BT Tower is part of our series of ‘Londoners’ buildings’. The t-shirt is made from combed jersey cotton, and is lovely and soft! This t is a ‘slim fit’ tee.

This illustration is an amalgamation of several different photographs of the Chrysler building in New York, one of the iconic skyscrapers in the city. The print combines several different photographs, with a couple of characters travelling through the scene. This is a four color screen print, hand-printed in London on a fairly traded and 100 percent organic combed jersey cotton dark blue t-shirt.

The photos making out this illustration were taken outside the iconic Apollo theatre in Harlem in New York. As Gerry was taking the photos for the illustration the two characters walked through, too perfect not to include in the print! This is a four color screen print, printed in London on a fairly traded and 100 percent organic combed jersey cotton blue t-shirt.

On this t-shirt is a print of the iconic Manhattan Bridge, seen from Dumbo in Brooklyn. The print combines several different photographs, with a couple of characters travelling through the scene. This is a four color screen print, hand-printed in London on a fairly traded and 100 percent organic combed jersey cotton white t-shirt.
