RetroFootballTShirts.co.uk stock over 700 t-shirt designs of former footballing greats. The likes of George Best, Steve Archibald, Kevin Keegan, Ron “Chopper” Harris and Charlie George are just some of the faces to gain some airplay of the t-shirt kind.
The UK-based company, founded by designer and football fanatic James Garley, prints on several brands of tees, with American Apparel, Fruit Of The Loom and Hanes all featuring amongst their list of suppliers.
“I got the idea to set this site up as my sister’s boyfriend is a big Spurs fan and he said ‘I’d love a Steve Archibald t-shirt, that would be so great, a retro type t-shirt. You’d never find one though.’ So I made him one!” said James.
“He loved it so I thought…’Well if he loves this so much, surely other people would love retro t-shirts of their favourite players and for their favourite teams?’”
RetroFootballTShirts.co.uk also allow their customers to purchase personalised t-shirts. The one-off designs could be of a player not featured on the site that you’d love to wear or perhaps of you lifting the FA Cup for your favourite team!
James said, “The unique and one-off t-shirts are something else that I was adamant on offering. Every fan pictures themselves lifting the FA Cup for their side – or at least I know I did – so we’re giving them that opportunity. All they have to do is to send us a photograph and we’ll depict them lifting the Cup!
“Of course, this is only one possibility. The customer literally can ask us for anything and we’ll make it within 24 – 48 hours. We’ll never sell that t-shirt again, so they get a custom-made t-shirt that nobody else in the world will ever own!”
