**UPDATE – October 16, 2009: I have just finished a comprehensive article reviewing the best t shirt screen printing kits to suit every level and budget. Should should check it out by clicking here! **
Hey hey kids. Making stuff is fun.
Admit it, the thought of making those dodgy artworks out of dried macaroni and glitter back in Grade 3 afternoon craft sessions still brings a sense of esteemed achievement to the surface. There’s a certain sense of satisfaction one feels when a DIY project is successful.

But making t-shirts at home is a challenge in itself. There’s a lot of home-made tees out there at the moment, and some that are perhaps a little too raw (I’m talking primitively-dried-macaroni-grade-3-style-arthouse raw).
Without some decent, and often quite expensive equipment, it is difficult to design and print your own custom tees that does not reek of amateur aromas. Til now, anyways….

Cool – I’ve always wanted to have a go at screenprinting but always wondered about the time involved… How long does it take to screenprint a design onto a shirt?
It’s just that I always have thoughts about what would make a cool t-shirt design, but I wouldn’t want to spend days making it happen.

i would like to purchase a kit for t-shirt prints that put peoples faces on the t-shirts and writings on the t-shirts. Please tell me what kit you recommend. I don’t want to spend a lot of money. I just need to know how it is done. How would you transfer an image of a person and put writings under that image? Thank you for your time.
