After some years of sending Jake our news and begging for some blog attention from his part finally I have the big occasion to be part of it. I think it’s cool to see how T-Shirt Alert has become a sort of Speaker’s Corner for the T-Shirt business. So here are my 15 minutes of public attention. Allow me to introduce myself first.
I work for a German company called Shirtcity, the company who has introduced the first online T-shirt designer way back in 2002. In this tradition custom T-shirt printing is still our main business. Since 2007 we decided to give our design contest a bigger room and opened up our siames twin site by the name of Scribtee. This is where the lovers of more sophisticated Designs will feel the most comfortable. And I start off by showing you my personal favourites amongst the contest winners of this year:
1. Confuse A Cat Ltd. – Based on a sketch by the incredible Monthy Python’ s Flying Circus. By the way, belated happy 70th birthday to John Cleese. Design by Joana Borata from Brazil.
2. Mr Tool, Design by Lars Wunderlich. A nice handy fella that should be the friend of every visual artist.
3. F**k Free Hugs, Got Free F**ks. Because, sometimes it takes more than a smelly hippie hug to make you happy. Design by JonEz!
The latest news on the Scribtee Design contest, winners, designer interviews and too rare updates can be found at The Scribtee Blog, one of 7(!) blogs that I fill with content now.
