The pressure is on. My first ever post on t-shirt alert. It’s a big bad t-shirt world out there. Where do I start? No better place I suppose than with one of my favorite artists – Ian Stevenson.
Ian has teamed up with Concrete Hermit who have launched an exclusive collection of t-shirts and prints for The Tate Modern.

Ian is an English artist who was born in Paris in 1794 in the midst of the French Revolution to a dashing army officer and a beautiful hairdresser bride. After the be-heading of his parents he spent the next two hundred years traveling through Europe riding elk, advising Kings, inventing languages and researching atomic bombs before settling in London in the 1970′s. While in London he produced albums for artists such as Roxy Music and Gary Glitter and it wasn’t until the 1990′s that Ian decided on a career in art.
Ian studied art at Camberwell College of Arts between 1996 and 9 where he learned to make things look pretty on a variety of surfaces including paper and fabric. He has spent the years since then selling his soul to various clients including MTV, Paul Smith and Pictoplasma in order to raise cash to spend on drink, trinkets from charity shops and free love.

’til the next time
