Michelle from Mother Tongues recently dropped me a line to let me know about her very interesting new label.
Michelle has released a range of tees printed with words from various cultures across the world. The idea is that each different t-shirt will convey meaningful values from the culture that it represents, which we can all relate to and learn from.

The tee for India
I’d have to say Mother Tongues is a label with perhaps the best intentions I have ever come across.
The tees are made from 100 percent organic cotton, made according to Fair Trade principles. The tags in each t-shirts (that describe the words printed on the front of the tee in more detail), are printed on 100 percent post-consumer waste paper.
Michelle is also researching local and worldwide charities to support with the MotherTongues sales.

This is the Aussie tee, inspired by Aboriginal culture

Definitely a very positive-thinking t-shirt label! It’s great to see somebody who expresses such a coherent and open-minded ideology through their t-shirt label, while presenting everything in a low-key and unassuming way. Truly excellent! We could all learn from Michelle’s example.
